I have received the 2026 kulturstipendium (culture/arts grant) from Västerås Stad (Västerås City). Read the jury's motivation (Swedish only).

English translation of the jury's motivation:

By subverting the rules of modern technology, Henrik Haukeland creates art that poses existential questions about our contemporary world. Through the direct appeal of the video medium and the use of pop-culture references, a sense of unease surrounding the pain points of modern existence is visualised and amplified. New and old techniques coexist in bold, distinctive works that strike the viewer with a blend of humor and gravity.
